Florida Administrative Code Change
The Florida Administrative Code has changed 64F-12 to 61N-1. Please take note the new section prefix. All the sections of the rules remain the same.
Florida HB 7095
As of July 1, 2011 Prescribers, generally, will no longer be authorized to dispense Schedule II or Schedule Ill controlled substances with a few exceptions. Any controlled substance inventory that was acquired for dispensing that is still in the possession of a practitioner who will no longer be authorized to dispense controlled substances, must be disposed of by July 11, 2011. Disposal can be achieved by either returning the drugs to the wholesale distributor or turning the inventory in to a local law enforcement agency. Wholesalers to Florida must be alert that they can no longer sell these drugs to prescribers directly.

New “general” Entry Notice and Onsite Inspection Report form
A new “general” Entry Notice and Onsite Inspection Report form has been proposed by the Department to replace the current permit specific version. This new form will provide even less information to the permittee on the specific requirements that must be met for his specific permit. There is no date certain for release of this new proposed form, however, we know the forms will be adopted in sync with the new rules in the next few months.
